US Consulates Mexico: Service Suspension Updates

Viruses 140376422In accordance with H1N1 influenza containment measures of the Government of Mexico, consular services at some US Consulates Mexico, including the US Embassy Mexico City and the US Consulate General Ciudad Juarez, have been suspended since approximately April 28, 2009. The US Consulate Ciudad Juarez will re-open its consular operations on a rolling basis. This information may change, so please check the sites listed below for the most up-to-date information on US Consulates Mexico.

Immigrant visa operations at US Consulate Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, will open again on May 18, 2009, and panel physicians will resume operations May 11, 2009, for those with appointments beginning May 18, 2009. All immigrant visa applicants whose appointments have been canceled have been re-scheduled for appointments June 05 to 12, 2009. Nonimmigrant visa appointments will resume May 11, 2009. Please see US Consulate Ciudad Juarez web site for details on rescheduling visa appointments.

Applicants who have I-601 waiver appointments after May 07, 2009, should appear at their appointments as scheduled, even if they have been notified that their appointments have been canceled. Please see the US Consulate Ciudad Juarez web site for details on rescheduling visa appointments.

US Citizen Services at US Consulate Ciudad Juarez will resume operations in full May 07, 2009.
